Gladys V. Kopronica, 79, Managed Several Area Restaurants

Gladys V. Kopronica (nee Kelling), 79, of Amherst Township died Wednesday January 25, 2006 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.

She was born August 18, 1926 in Lorain and had resided in Amherst Township for the past 49 years.

Gladys managed several restaurants in the area such as Castle-On-The-Lake, Roman Villa and Carry Villa and was a manager at German Villa. She also worked at K Mart and Lake Avenue Floor Covering.

Gladys was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst and enjoyed cross-stitching.

She is survived by her daughters Joan Kasubienski of Amherst and Debra Sapienza of South Amherst, son David J. Kopronica of Lorain, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and brothers Adolph Kelling of Amherst and Chester Kelling of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband James J. Kopronica in 1996, parents Conrad & Josephine Kelling (nee Bring), great granddaughter Ashley Kasubienski, brothers Alfred Kelling and Wilber Kelling and sisters Adella Bring and Coletta Rogala.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2006, from 4-7 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where prayer services will be held Saturday at 11:15 AM followed by funeral services in the chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Joseph Warner, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
