Cynthia M ''Cindy'' Zahorec, 49, Former Head Teller at City Bank

Photo of Cynthia M ''Cindy'' Zahorec Cynthia M. “Cindy” Zahorec (nee Linna), age 49, of Lorain, died Monday January 30, 2006 in the intensive care unit of EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria; she had been ill for the past ten days.

Mrs. Zahorec was born September 25, 1956 in Bay Village, Ohio and had been a life-long resident of Lorain. She attended Fairhome Elementary School, Longfellow Junior High, and was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1975.

Cindy was employed as a teller, and later as the head teller for the former City Bank branch that was housed within the Clarkins Department Store on Leavitt Road in Lorain.

Her hobbies included all forms of crafts, flower gardening, visiting with friends, and watching television.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years Richard “Rick”, her parents Paul and Mary Ann (nee Kuznar) Linna, sister Christine Holcomb of Lorain, and brothers Craig Linna of Avon and David Linna of Sheffield Village.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2006, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue – Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church -–1305 East Erie Avenue – Lorain. The Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., pastor of Saint Anthony Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park – Amherst Township.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
