Anna V. Smith, 93, Avid Bowler, Enjoyed Making Christmas Ornaments
Anna V. Smith (nee Vilmanyi), 93, of Lorain, died Tuesday February 14, 2006 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a sudden illness.She was born October 6, 1912 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
During World War II, Anna worked at US Steel in Lorain and continued working there until 1953.
She was an avid bowler and participated in many leagues in the area. She enjoyed crafts and specialized in making Christmas ornaments which she passed on down to her family.
She is survived by her daughters Shirley Zolnai of Lorain and Marilyn Irish of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, son Steven Smith of Grantville, Georgia, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter and brother John Zsoldas of Glen Shaw, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Smith in 2003, parents Louis and Anna Vilmanyi (nee Hudi), brother Louis Vilmanyi and sister Margaret Matuszak.
Private family funeral services will be held.
