Lois Ann Breno, 70, Retired Long Distance Operator
Lois Ann Breno (nee Moldvan), age 70, of Lorain, died Wednesday February 15, 2006 in the Cardiac Care Unit at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria following an illness that spanned thirteen years.Mrs. Breno was born in Lorain on February 8, 1936 and had been a life-long resident of the city.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School who went on to serve for a total of twenty-seven years as a long distance telephone operator for the Lorain Telephone Company and its successor company Centel.
She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, cooking, and baking. She also enjoyed taking care of her pet dogs.
Lois is survived by her husband of fifty years Nicholas A. Breno, Jr., daughter Leesa Marie Breno of North Ridgeville, son Nicholas A. Breno, III of Lorain, and a nephew Aaron Bates of Roy, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Helen (nee Garman) Moldvan, by a sister Helene V. Bates, and by a nephew Raymond Bates, III.
here will be no visitation or funeral services in accordance with Mrs. Breno’s personal wishes.
