Shirley A. Porciello-Neace, 53, Enjoyed Home Decorating

Shirley A. Porciello-Neace 53 of Lorain died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a short illness.

She was born February 11, 1953 in Lorain. She was a life long resident. She attended Admiral King and Southview High Schools both in Lorain.

Shirley was employed for Maintenance King of Lorain as a Housekeeper for First Federal Bank in South Lorain.

She was a member of Son Shine Baptist Church, Lorain. In the 60's she was one of the original Donetts Barton and Drum Corps Shirley along with her brother and sister marched and earned awards throughout Ohio. She had once as a child saved her brother from drowning while on vacation in California. She was generous with her time and talents to her friends and family. She enjoyed babysitting her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed home decorating and decorating programs, cooking and her pet cats, dogs and bird.

Among the survivors are her son Gregg F. Slattery, Jr. of Lorain; her mother Florence Porciello (nee Mitroff) of Lorain; brother Eddie Porciello, sister Betty Justice of Sheffield Township and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Steve Porciello who died on same day in 1993, Her maternal grandparents Pando and Raina Mitroff, paternal grandparients Clement and Mary Jo Porciello.

Friends may call Friday, February 17, 2006 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Funeral will be Saturday morning at a time to be announced. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
