Veronica T. Warholick, 78, Enjoyed Rose Gardening
Veronica T. Warholick (nee: Walkuski), 78 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Community Health Partners H & S Center in Lorain following a sudden illness.She was born February 1928 in Cleveland. Prior to moving to Amherst six years ago, she was a resident of Cleveland and Sheffield Lake.
Veronica retired from the Marriott Corp. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst and enjoyed working in her rose garden and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her son Michael J. Warholic of Wakeman; her daughters Michele Warholic Wetherald of Washington, DC and Madelyn J. Fassos of Cornelius, North Carolina; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and her sisters Katie and Dollie, both of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years Michael Warholick in July 1998; by her parents Stephen and Josephine Walkuski (nee: Czajkowska); b y her brothers, Steven, Mickey, Ed, Henry, and her sisters Josephine, Carmella, Hattie and Stella.
Friends may call Sunday, February 19,2 006 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 20, 2006 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church; 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Martello, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
