Larry G. Slone, 59, Enjoyed Hunting and Ice Fishing

Larry G. Slone, 59 of Lorain died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center in Lorain following a long illness.

Mr. Slone was born in Delbarton, WV on June 14, 1946, and has lived in Lorain since 1956. He was a graduate of Lorain High School. He had been a crane operator for National Tube but most recently has worked as an electrician at Creative Lighting in Avon.

He was a member of the Amherst Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and training hunting dogs.

He is survived by a son Patrick L. Slone of St. Cloud, FL, sisters Ruth Welborn, Kimberly Slone both of Lorain, OH, brothers, Steven Slone of Marion, OH, Randall Slone of Sarasota, FL, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson and longtime companion Nancy A. Curry of Lorain.

He was preceded in death by two sons Christopher D. Slone in April of 1985, Austin in November of 2005, parents Elbert and Gloria (nee Chapman) Slone and a sister Sharon Slone.

Friends may call Tuesday, February 28, 2006, from 5:00 PM until funeral time at 8:00 PM Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH 44052. Pastor Wallace Justice of the Christian Life Center in Lorain will officiate.
