Gervase G. Weber, 85, Pipefitter

Gervase G. Weber, 85 of Lorain, died Friday, February 24, 2006 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain after a short illness.

He was born March 23, 1920 in Lorain and has been a life long resident of Lorain.

He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII as a Naval Pilot.

He worked as a Pipefitter out of Local #120, Cleveland, OH retiring in 1985 after 34 years.

He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain. He enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, and gardening. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include 5 sons, Fred Weber of Vermilion, John Weber of Columbus, Mark Weber of North Royalton, Greg Weber of Cleveland, and Brian Weber of Lorain; 3 daughters: Peggy Kulchar of Amherst, Marry Ann Ringler of Defiance, Missouri, and Maureen Martin of LaGrange; 17 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 53 years, Mary Catherine Weber (nee Dalton) of 53 years, parents, Frederick G. and Helen (nee Radkowski) Weber, 2 brothers: Arthur and Raymond Weber, and sister Margaret Briar.

Friends may call Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberline Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44053. Father Chuck Kenkle will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
