Florence C. Kiser, 94, Enjoyed Embroidering
Florence C. Kiser (nee: Berger), 94 years of age, and a resident of Cincinnati, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Mercy Hospital Anderson in Cincinnati, following a four-month illness.Mrs. Kiser was born September 21, 1911 in South Amherst. She had lived for the last 15 years in Cincinnati, coming from the Florida and South Amherst areas.
Florence was the oldest member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst. She had also enjoyed embroidering and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son Raymond Kiser of Lorain; her daughters Suzann Stiles of Cincinnati, with who she made her home; and Myrtle Reynolds of Eubank, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and twenty-five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Walter Kiser, Sr. in 1991; by her sons James Kiser and Walter Earl Kiser, Jr.; by her brothers Jacob and Henry; and by her sisters Rose, Dorothy, Mary and Myrtle; and by her parents Rudolph and Lucinda (nee-Schacht) Berger.
Friends may call Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue., Amherst. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 10, 1006 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor of Amherst St. Peter United church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
