Katherine Marsac, 86, Enjoyed Bowling
Katherine Marsac (nee: Reidy), 86 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006, at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain.She was born June 16, 1919 in Canton, Ohio. She was raised in Dennison and Cleveland, Ohio. She was a resident of Amherst for over 35 years before moving to Lorain.
Katherine was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lorain. She was also a member of the West Shore Boat Club for twenty-eight years and enjoyed bowling and was an Indians fan.
Survivors include her son Charles L. Marsac of Elyria; five granddaughters; twelve great grandchildren; and her sisters Ruth Hajvosky of Brooklyn Heights, and Edna Zackery of Parma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Charles R. Marsac on November 19, 1991; by her parents John Patrick and Ada Mae Reidy (nee: Roenbaugh); by her brothers Richard, John, Paul, Glenn and Robert Reidy.
Friends may call Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 11 a.m. to the time of serves at 1 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
