Carmella Marie Campolo, 87, Housekeeper

She was born June 16, 1918 in Calabria, Italy. She immigrated to Brooklyn, New York when she was four years old. She lived there for five years before moving to Lorain in 1927. She graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1936-B.

Mrs. Campolo worked as a housekeeper for Lorain Catholic High School. She retired in 1983. Prior to working there she had worked for National Tube, Troxel, Thew Shovel, and Mascon Toy Companies of Lorain.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Lorain.

Among the survivors are his sister Nancy Chasar of Lorain and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Victoria (nee Scorda) Campolo and a sister Rose Chasar.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 15, 2006, 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Rev. Mr. Louis Maldonado permanent deacon of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
