Thelma Sarah Moiser, 81, Enjoyed Sewing and Gardening

She was born April 24, 1924 in Soldier, Kentucky. She was raised in Olive Hill, Kentucky. She lived in Gary, Indiana in the 1940's and returned to Olive Hill before moving to Mansfield, Ohio in 1951. She lived there for five years before moving to Lorain. In 1993, she moved to Vermilion with her son.

Mrs. Mosier retired in 1972 as a cook at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon. She worked there for 7 years. During World War II she worked for the steel mill in Gary, Indiana.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, South Amherst. She also attended Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.

Among the survivors are her son Donald L. Mosier of Vermilion; her brothers Willie Keaton of Mansfield, Ohio and Davis Keaton of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years William David Mosier in 1991; son James Ray Mosier in 2000; her parents Harrison and Myrtle (nee Holbrok) Keaton; brothers Chalmer and Beauford Keaton and sisters Ina Buckston and Elizabeth Geary.

Friends may call Tuesday, March 28, 2006, 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
