Louis M. ''Louie'' Romero, 51, Enjoyed Fishing

He was born February 1, 1955 in Lorain. He was a life long resident of Lorain County. He graduated from Southview High School, Lorain in 1974. He played football and worked in the body shop there.

He enjoyed fishing; his race cars, his family, watching movies, and riding his power chair on nice sunny days his family.

He retired in 2002 as the parts manager for Sunrise Medical Equipment, Avon Lake. He worked there for 28 years.

Survivors include his wife of six years Cheryl Romero (nee Mc Cartney); sons James and Dyllan Serrano of Lorain; a step daughter Lisa Serrano of Westlake; brother Dan Romero of Lorain; sister Tina Rivera of Lorain; two grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Cruse (nee Aguilar) Romero, brother Paul Romero, stepson Jay Serrano in 2005, grand parents, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 7:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31 Street, South Lorain.
