David L. Klein, 41, Certified Residential Appraiser

David L. Klein, 41 of Port Clinton, formerly of Lorain died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at his home unexpectedly.

Mr. Klein was born in Lorain, Ohio on February 5, 1965. He graduated from Vermilion High School in 1983 and 1987 from the University of Michigan with a degree in Violin Performance. His postgraduate studies were at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

He was a graduate of the Ohio College of Massotherapy in Akron and worked as a licensed massage therapist for ten years. Most recently he was a certified residential appraiser with the Chapman Appraisal Group in Port Clinton.

Mr. Klein was a member of the Port Clinton Toastmasters and a past member of the Elyria Rotary.

He was a beloved son, husband, father, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend. He had an innate ability to see your heart, feel your pain and make you smile. He had great courage, persistence and gentleness. A sensitive soul and talented musician, he had remarkable ability to create beautiful music. With his special gift of touch, he helped ease the pain of many.

Mr. Klein is survived by his wife Marian " GiGi" Klein (nee Chapman) to whom he was married on December 8, 1997, twin children Hannah and Josiah Klein both at home, his parents Warren and Gerda Klein (nee Friedman), sister Randi Klein of Northampton, MA, brothers Robert Pomeroy of Japan, Peter Klein of Coral Gables, FL and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Jonathan Klein, paternal grandparents Julius and Sylvia Klein and maternal grandparents Morris & Rose Friedman.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Salem Cemetery, Lorain, OH with Cantor David Wolinsky, officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Klein Children's Fund, Attorney Ronald H. Gordon, TRUSTEE, 5315 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44053.
