Alfred John Diedrick, Sr., 95, Former Employee of Nordon Corp.

He was born March 29, 1911 in Lorain. He was a lifetime resident of AMherst but has lived in Beaver, Ohio with his grandson and his family, Al Diedrick, III, since February 2004.

He was employed at Nordson Corp. in Amherst, for forty-two years retiring in 1976 as a supervisor. He attended St. Peters United Church of Christ in Amherst and loved gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his grandson Alred "AJ" J. Diedrick, III and his wife Carrie of Beaver, OH; his granddaughter and husband Jean and John Wholfield of Arizona; great grandchildren Leah, Dannah, Spencer, Alana, James, and Anna; and his daughter-in-law Gloria Diedrick of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Violet Blossom Diedrick (nee: Brumback) on January 31, 1998; his son Alfred J. Diedrick, Jr. on August 14, 2002; his parents Michael and Clara Diedrick; his brothers Robert, Wilford, and Harry; and sisters Agnes Bonnet and Elaine Borer.

Friends may call Thursday, April 13, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, April 14, 2006, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
