Clinton "Tom" L. Hutchinson, 85, US Navy Veteran
Clinton Tom L. Hutchinson, 85 years of age, and a resident of Oberlin, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Oberlin Medical Center.He was born September 27, 1920 in Oberlin where he was raised and lived nearly his entire life.
He served in the US Navy during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was owner and operator of Hutchinson Plumbing for twenty-three years, retiring in 1983. After retiring, he continued to work part-time for his son in the family business. He was a member of the East Oberlin Community Church and the Elyria American Legion Post #12. He enjoyed sports, yard work, reading, fishing, and boating.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years Lois Ethel Hutchinson (nee: Squires); his son Thomas Hutchinson of Elyria; his daughters Donna Hutchinson of Oberlin and Bonnie Frederick of Wellington; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his sister Dorothy Justin of Oberlin.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles R. and Doris Helen Hutchinson (nee: Waller); and by his brothers Charles and Clifford Hutchinson.
Graveside services will be held privately by the family at Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin.
