Paul R. �Pittsburgh Paul� Magnes, 72, US Steel Retiree

He was born April 24, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain for the past 38 years.

Paul served with the US Navy and worked at US Steel in Lorain as a computer systems analyst. He was a life member of AMVETS Post #47 in Lorain. He was a past president of the Lorain Bowling Association and served on various community organizations.

He is survived by his wife Anna Mae Magnes (nee Rizzo), children Cindy Dormo, Ronald Magnes, Sharon Crowle, Kenneth Magnes, Donald Magnes and Michael Magnes and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew & Pauline Magnes (nee Koval).

The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of prayer services at 12:45 PM at R.V. Anderson Funeral Home, 315 E. Tenth Ave., Homestead, Pennsylvania. A mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at 1:00 PM at St. Mary Magdalene Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 363 W. 11th Ave., Homestead. The Rev. Mark Thomas, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Munhall, Pennsylvania.
