George H. Ferlic, 90, Owned and Operated Ferlic Printing for 42 Years

He was born April 18, 1916 in Cutty, PA. He came to Lorain in 1939. He graduated from South Fayette High School, Cutty, PA. In 1934. He attended Carnegie Tech, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mr. Ferlic Retired from U.S. Steel, Lorain Works as a Machinist in the number one Machine Shop. He worked there for 40 years. He and his late wife Mary owned and operated Ferlic Printing for 42 years retiring in 1996.

He served in the Army in World War II with the 34th "Red Bull" Infantry Division, serving in Africa and Italy.

Mr. Ferlic was a member of Saint Cyril and Methodius Slovenian catholic Church, Lorain where He was twice named by the church's Holy Name Society as there Man of the Year.

Among the survivors are sons George D. Ferlic of Amherst; daughters Joyce Ferlic Arredondo and Mary Ann Teitelbaum both of Lorain; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Mary (nee Malach) Ferlic in October of 2004; parents Jacob and Anna (nee Cadiz) Ferlic; a twin brother Joseph Ferlic; brothers Andrew, Jacob, John and Louis Ferlic; sisters Agnes, Helen and Pauline Ferlic and Mary Litvinuk.

Friends may call Friday, May 12, 2006, 1:00 to 9:00 PM, where Rosary service will be 7:00 PM in the funeral home Friday evening. Services will be Saturday, May 13, 2006 with closing prayers at 9:30 AM followed by funeral mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Cyril and Methodius Slovenian Catholic Church, east 31st Street and Globe Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Paul Krajnik Pastor will officiate burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
