Robert A. Babinsky, 57, Kenco Pump Assembler
Robert A. Babinsky, age 57, of Lorain, died Thursday May 11, 2006 at the Lake Pointe Health Center in Lorain following an extended illness.Bob was born in Lorain on February 17, 1949 and had been a resident of the city for his entire life.
He attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and went on to graduate from Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1967.
Mr. Babinsky was employed as a parts assembler at Kenco Pump Division of the American Crucible Company in Lorain from 1969 through 1982.
He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed repairing fishing rods and reels in his spare time. Bob was also a fan of rock-n-roll music who enjoyed the spectator sports of football, baseball, and basketball.
He is survived by brothers Dennis A. Babinsky of Vermilion, and James M. Babinsky of Lorain, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph J. Babinsky in 1996, by his mother Pearl (nee Plato) Babinsky in 1995, and by his brother Joseph D. Babinsky in 2005.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue Lorain. Family funeral services and burial will be private.
