Christine K. Landreth, 53, Specialty Medicals Billing Agent

Photo of Christine K. Landreth Christine K. Landreth, age 53, of Lorain, died Thursday June 1, 2006 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following an illness of eighteen months.

Miss Landreth was born in Lorain on June 12, 1952 and had been a resident of the city for her entire life. She was a 1970 graduate of Lorain High School and went on to receive her Associates of Arts Degree in Business from Lorain County Community College.

Christine was employed as a billing agent for Specialty Medicals of Lorain. She had previously worked in similar capacities in the medical practices of Dr. Denis Radefeld of Lorain and Dr. H. Owania of Elyria, as well as at the former Lorain Community Hospital.

Miss Landreth was also a licensed Ohio real estate agent and had represented a variety of area real estate agencies including Realty One.

Her interests included travel, reading, and flower gardening. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Special Needs Bowling League hosted by Lake Erie Lanes in Vermilion.

Survivors include her mother Evelyn Landreth (nee Nagy) of Amherst, brother David Landreth of Amherst, uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Conley N. Landreth in 1998.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue – Lorain where funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park – Amherst Township.
