Doris A. Minotti, 91, Red Robin & J.C. Penney Manager
Doris A. Minotti, (nee Yeager-Kyle), age 91, of Lorain, died Monday June 5, 2006 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following a recent illness.
Doris was born in Lorain on July 13, 1914 and has remained a life-long resident. She attended Lorain High School.
She was employed for many years as a Manager of the Red Robin clothing store and the J.C. Penney Department store, but it was while working at the Drape Shop that she met her husband Vincent Minotti.
Throughout her years she made many wonderful memories with her family and friends by traveling to many places here and abroad as well as spending many summers on Kelley’s Island and her winters in Fort Myers, Florida for the past twenty-four years.
She enjoyed word seek puzzles, quilting, and crocheting which she proudly passed down to her grandchildren. Everyone was always amazed at how quickly she could craft an afghan.
Doris was a long-time parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-seven years Vincent A. Minotti, daughter Betty Boland of Oberlin, and son Walter Kyle, Jr. of Lorain. She was also very proud to have four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday beginning with closing prayers at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of her funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Catholic Church of Saint Peter 3501 Oberlin Avenue Lorain. The Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the parish will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of the donor's choice.
