Genevieve M. Rittenhouse, 99, An Avid Cleveland Indians Fan
Mrs. Genevieve M. Rittenhouse, 99 (nee Frey) of Sheffield Village died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a short illness.Mrs. Rittenhouse was born in St. Mary's, PA on July 9, 1906, and has resided here for the past 56 years. She was a member of St. Teresa Church and it's Alter and Rosary Society. She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan.
Mrs. Rittenhouse is survived by daughters Patricia Menneti of Venice, FL, Jean Wehler of Sheffield Village, OH, Roger Graziano of Benson, AZ., Aaron Rittenhouse of Sheffield Village, OH., Michael Graziano of St. James City, FL, 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and a sister Angeline Couter of St. Mary's PA.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Graziano in 1945, her second husband Albert Rittenhouse in 1995, her daughter Marian Webb, her son Earl Graziano, her parents Frank A. and Anna J. (nee Cheatle) Frey, sisters: Bertha Rees, Rose DePrater, Clara Faison, brothers Andrew Frey, Charles Frey and Leo Frey.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 on Monday, June 12, 2006, from 6-9 PM.
Funeral services will begin at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, with prayers at 9:15 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Teresa Church, 1878 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Robert Franco, pastor officiating.
Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Mary, PA at a later date.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the St. Teresa's Church Building Fund, 1878 Abbe Road, Sheffield Lake, Ohio 44054 or to the New Life Hospice, c/o Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
