Gladys Mae Johnson, 93, Active Church Member

She was born January 31, 1913 in Tuscarawas County, OH and has been in the area most of her life coming from Tuscarawas County.

She was a very active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lorain was a member for more than 80 years. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Town and Country Social Club, Women's Society of the Church where was past treasurer, and a Sunday School Teacher Past president of Martha Circle of Church, also a member of the church's Historical Committee, AARP, enjoyed playing cards, embroidery, and violets.

Survivors include her sons Larry Johnson of Avon Lake, Robert Johnson of Amherst, Daughter Linda Thompson of Elyria, 6 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Husband, Stanley R. Johnson in 1992, Step-sister Elizabeth Shaw, Parents Alfred and Alma Widder.

Visitation will be Friday, June 23, 2006 from 6-9 PM at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Lorain. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 11 AM with visitation from 10:30 AM till time of service at Christ United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Rd. Lorain, with Rev. Matt Darrin officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery .
