Donald M. Daidone, 64, Environmental Engineering

Donald M. Daidone, 64 years of age, and a resident of Vermilion, passed away Friday, June 23, 2006 at Kingston of Vermilion following a lengthy illness.

He was born January 19, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1960 and from the University of Michigan. He has been a resident of Vermilion for the last six years coming from Avon Lake.

He was employed for twenty years with B.F. Goodrich in Avon Lake and Chemtron in Cleveland for many years as an environmental engineer. He enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include his sons Kenneth M. Daidone of Canton, Ohio and Stephen A. Daidone of Amherst; his daughters Toni A. Kugel of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Lisa M. Glaser of Mogadore, Ohio and Diane L. Daidone of Amherst; eight grandchildren; and his brother Richard Daidone of Avon.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Dorothy Daidone (nee: Garvin).

Friends may call Monday, June 26, 2006 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Sister Patricia Adams, chaplain of New Life Hospice of St. Joseph, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
