Bertha Dziat, 87, Enjoyed Knitting, Crocheting, and Gardening
Bertha Dziat, (nee Forman), age 87, formerly of Sheffield Township, died Wednesday July 19, 2006 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following an extended illness.Ms. Dziat was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1919 and had been a resident of Lorain County since her childhood.
She attended the Clearview School System. A parishioner of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township, her interests included knitting, crocheting, and gardening.
Bertha is survived by her son Michael of Wakeman, daughters Carolyn Dennis of Lorain and Noreen Dziat of Tucson, Arizona, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a brother Carl Forman residing in Amherst Township. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bertha (nee Slavik) Forman, brothers Frank and Joseph Forman, and by a sister Jenny Andrews.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend James Ols, pastor of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Lorain.
