Steve Dale Newbraugh, 53, Born and Raised in Lorain

Steve Dale Newbraugh, 53 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 at Community Health Partners H & S Center in Lorain following a sudden illness.

He was born November 17, 1952 in Lorain where he was raised and lived all his life.

He had worked for the Lake Terminal Railroad and Tapin Air Conditioning. As a young man, he was a member of the Boy Scouts and was an Eagle Scout, and later became a leader for Troup #318. He enjoyed collecting records, fishing, gardening, and canning.

Survivors include his son Frank Newbraugh of West Virginia; his daughter Amee Newbraugh of West Virginia; his parents Frank and Betty Newbraugh (nee: Stemple) of Lorain; two grandchildren; his brothers Ronald Newbraugh of Elyria, Keith Newbraugh of Kentucky, David Newbraugh and Bill Newman both of Lorain; and his sisters Linda Fleming and Judy Ondeka both of Lorain, and Patsy Pedraza of Oberlin.

He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Newbraugh.

Friends may call Tuesday, July 25, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, July 26, 2006, from 10-11 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
