Jeffrey �AJ� Thomas Robey, 54, Graduated from Admiral King High School with the Class of 1970

Jeffrey “AJ” Thomas Robey, 54 years of age, and a resident of Lakewood, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland following a short illness.

He was born November 20, 1951 in Urichsville, Ohio. He was raised in Lorain where he graduated from Admiral King High School with the class of 1970. He has been a resident of the Cleveland area since 1970 except for four years when he lived in California.

He has worked as a car salesman, then as a dispatcher for AmeriTemps, but his love and job was writing music, singing, and playing saxophone. He was part of the Love Lane Band and the Gangsters of Blues Band. He enjoyed the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Randi Lynn Robey (nee: Trifiletti); his parents Thomas Lindsay and Jane Kathryn Robey (nee: Sandry) of Amherst; and his brothers Greg Robey of Amherst and Tim Robey of West Salem, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Pauline Sandry; by his paternal grandparents Roy and Mary Robey; and by his uncle Joey Sandry.

Friends may call Sunday, July 30, 2006, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2006, at 12 p.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Gary Ihasz, pastor of Old Stone United Methodist Church in Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
