Harold E. Dull, 85, Bob-O-Link Co-Owner
Harold E. Dull, 85 of Sheffield Lake died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.Mr. Dull was born in Johnstown, PA on June 24, 1921, and moved to the Loran County in 1958. He was a US Army veteran, serving from 1941-1945, 2nd Infantry, 1st Army, 3rd Battalion. He saw action in several campaigns including Normandy and North Africa. He received the Oak Cluster.
He owned and operated the Nursery, Lawn and Sod Farms in Avon and North Ridgeville. He retired in 1968. He then founded and co-owned the Bob-O-Link golf course.
Mr. Dull was a member of the North Ridgeville Senior Citizens and a lifetime member of VFW Post 7035. He enjoyed working outdoors, yard work especially, dining out and saving coupons.
He is survived by daughter Pamela Cunningham of Sheffield Lake, Cindy Hannah of Vermilion, son Harold "Butch" E. Dull of Sheffield Village, and his longtime companion Faye Tich of North Ridgeville, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan G. (nee Hunter) Dull in 1997, granddaughter Shelly L. Cunningham in 1992, his parents William and Marie (nee Schaefer) Dull, sisters Sarah Miller, Martha Buck and brothers: Cloyd Dull and William Dull.
Friends may call Sunday, August 13, 2006, from 4-7 PM. Additionally friends may call on Monday, August 14, 2006 from 10AM until funeral time at 11:00 AM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township, OH with full military honors provided jointly by American Legion Post 30 & VFW Post 451.
