Maria A. Villanueva, 71, Enjoyed Doll Making
Maria A. Villanueva, 71 of Lorain died Sunday, August 13, 2006 in Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain following a brief illness.She was born May 30, 1935 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She lived in Millville, New Jersey four years before moving to Lorain in 2002.
Mrs. Villanueva had worked as a cook in Arecibo. She enjoyed doll making, knitting, gardening, cooking and taking care of her home.
Among the survivors are her sons William, Jose, Samuel, Richard and Israel, Rojas all of Lorain, Miguel Rojas of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jorge Perez of Lorain, Luis and Xavier Rivera both of Lorain, Edwin Coll of Arecibo, Puerto Rico Luis A. and Igor Molina both of Arecibo, Puerto Rico; daughters Maria Teresa Molina of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Janet Rojas of Lorain, Maria and Yahaira Rojas both of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Yinoska Rivera of Lorain, Jessenia and Ada M. Perez of Lorain, Jeannette Alvarez of Lorain and Yaira Benitez of Arecibo, Puerto Rico; brothers Eladio and Richardo Molina both of Arecibo, Puerto Rico; and many grand children, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Julio and Cleofe (nee Centeno) Villanueva.
Friends may call Tuesday, August 15, 2006, 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 16, 2006, 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
