Mary Ann Linna, 71, Lorain High School Graduate
Mary Ann Linna (nee Kuznar), 71, of Lorain, died Thursday August 24, 2006 at her home.
She was born December 15, 1934 in Lorain and was a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Mary Ann attended St. Stanislaus Grade School, Hawthorne School and graduated from Lorain High School in 1952.
Mary Ann was employed at A & P Food Mart until she started her family in 1956. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain and enjoyed bingo, shopping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Paul Linna of Lorain, daughter Christine Holcomb of Lorain, sons: Craig Linna of Avon and David Linna of Sheffield Village, brother Mike Kuznar of Lorain, sister Marilyn Mucha of Lorain, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Zahorec in 2006, grandson Vincent Linna and parents Mike & Mary Kuznar (nee Cziberay).
The family will receive friends Sunday 4-8 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Joseph West will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
