Helen J. Lockhart, 88, Worked in Dietary Dept. @ St. Joseph Hospital

She was born in Belle Valley, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Helen worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain in the Dietary Department for 25 years retiring in 1985.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling and watching sports on television. She also enjoyed watching the boaters on Lake Erie from her residence at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughter Darlene Smith of Circleville, sons: David Lugar and Donald Lugar, both of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Betty Merrill of Lorain and brothers John A. of Elyria, Andrew of Lorain, William of Amherst and Allen of Elyria and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Dennis Lugar, parents John & Susan Mihalik (nee Endrick), brothers Steven, Joseph, Thomas and John Jr. and sisters Mary Wilhelm, Margaret Mihalik and Martha Ciesla.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 10, 2006 from 2-4, 7-9 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Kenneth J. Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date
