Allan D. Hladik, 62, United States Marine Corps Veteran / USS-Kobe Retiree

Mr. Hladik was born in Lorain on September 3, 1944 and was a life-long resident of the city.

He attended Admiral King High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he fulfilled duty assignments in Viet Nam and the Dominican Republic.

Allan retired from the USS-Kobe Steel Corporation following a career that spanned thirty years with the steel producer. He was a life member of Amvets Post # 47 of Lorain; in his free time he enjoyed working with his personal computer and attending Cleveland Indians baseball games.

Survivors include his mother Ann Hladik of Lorain, sister Pat Zapolski of Lorain, and brothers Philip and Robert Hladik of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his father Philip Hladik.
