Denise M. Medina, 37, Enjoyed Camping

She was born April 5, 1969 in Lorain and was a life long resident. She graduated in 1987 from Southview High School, Lorain.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was also a member of the Alma De Mexico Folklore dance group and the Mexican Mutual, of Lorain.

Mrs. Medina had worked for Riddell All-American, Elyria. She enjoyed camping, especially at Cedar Lane in Catawba Island, fishing, traveling, cooking, and her dog Luna. She loved her children and family.

Among the survivors are her husband of 16 years Jorge Medina of Lorain; sons Jorge M. and Miguel S. Medina both at home; parents Salvador and Tomasa "Mickey" (nee Aguilar) Silva; brothers Jessie M. Silva of Avon Lake and Mark A. Silva of Lorain and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Salvador S. Silva in 1976.

Friends may call Tuesday, October 10, 2006, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where services will be Wednesday, October 11, 2006 with closing prayers at 8:45 AM in the funeral home, followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. The Reverend Father William A. Thaden Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
