Michael Ray Carroll, 52
Michael Ray Carroll, Sr., 52 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria following a brief illness.He was born July 2, 1954 in Oneida, Tennessee. He was raised in Amherst where he graduated as a millwright. Michael was a former member of North Lake Missionary Baptist Church in South Amherst. He loved spending time with his son and family, fishing, and playing and watching baseball, softball, and football.
Survivors include his son Michael G. Carroll of Oberlin, his daughter Amanda Rae Carroll of Huron, his mother Wilma Martin (nee Adkins) of Cincinnati; his father Stephen S. Carroll, Sr. of Sommerset, Kentucky; his brother Anthony Carroll of Brownhelm Township; his half brother Stephen Carroll, Jr. of Daytona Beach, Florida; his half sister Sherri Martin of Cincinnati; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Terry Selm in 2003.
