Deborah Lynn Tisler, 52
Deborah Lynn Tisler (nee: Hammond), 52 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Grace Hospital in Amherst following a two-month illness.She was born April 25, 1954 in Elyria and raised in Lorain County. Elyria has been her home for the last six years.
She was a 1973 graduate of the Northern Institute of Cosmetology. Deborah was a member of the Murray Ridge Church of God in Elyria. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking, singing, and puzzles.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-four years “Jack” John Vincent Tisler; her father and stepmother Dallas and Rita Aldina New of Monticello, Kentucky; sisters Hope Wilkinson of Mesa, Arizona, and Beverly Michiner of Springfield, Ohio.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Lucy New (nee: Hammond) in 2002; by her brother Timothy New in 1979; by her parental grandparents Luther and Dora New (nee: Lair); and by her maternal grandparents Corbin and Vada Hammond (nee Branscum).
Friends may call Thursday, November 2, 2006, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Reverend Tom Cody, pastor of Murray Ridge Church of God in Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
