Karel Vetrovsky, 85
Karel Vetrovsky, 85 of Vermilion, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in Grace Hospital, Amherst after a short illness.He was born August 23, 1921 in the Czech Republic. He has been a Vermilion resident for the past 34 years moving from Cleveland.
He owned and operated the Old Prague Czechoslovakian Restaurant in Vermilion and retired in 1990.
He enjoyed going to the horse track and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his son, Karel Vetrovsky of Birmingham; 2 daughters: Zdenka Dugandzic of Redwood City, CA, and Verka Kalousek of Huntersville, NC; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Vera Vetrovsky of the Czech Republic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zdenka (nee Cherna)on November 19, 1996, parents Karel and Otilia (nee Friadlova) Vetrovsky.
Friends may call Friday, November 17, 2006 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Father Jim Holmer, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, will officiate.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Rugby Cemetery, Vermilion.
