Nancy Kordeleski, 94, Beautician and Manicurist
Nancy Kordeleski, (nee Kokotylo), age 94, of Elyria, died Tuesday November 7, 2006 at the Life Care Center of Elyria following a short illness.She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 9, 1911 and relocated to Ohio in 1920; she had been a resident of Elyria for the past nine years coming from Lorain.
Nancy was employed as a licensed beautician and manicurist in the Cleveland area for several years. She had previously been employed by the American Shipbuilding Company of Lorain during World War II.
Mrs. Kordeleski was a member of the Lorain Czarnecki Club whose hobbies included league bowling and reading.
Survivors include her sister Lillian Wilson of Elyria with whom she made her home, step-daughters Mary Fischer and Martha Teleha both of Amherst, Margaret Shaw of Edgewater, Florida, Karen Simmons of Henrietta Township, step-son Richard Kordeleski of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Kordeleski, Sr. in 1969, by a step-son Ben Kordeleski, Jr. in 2000, by her parents Jacob and Mary (nee Skolnicki) Kokotylo, by brothers Sam Tylo and Peter Kokotylo, and by sisters Rose Lindner and Wanda Franks.
