Zelma Anderson, 87
Zelma Anderson, 87 of Sandusky, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 in Concord Care Nursing Home, Sandusky, after a 3 month illness.She was born October 17, 1919 in Valmiera, Latvia and moved to the Vermilion area in 1951 from Latvia.
She had worked at the South Shore Packing Co., Vermilion for 18 years.
She was a member of the United Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lakewood, where she was a member of the Ladies Aux. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, traveling, and her cats.
Survivors include her son, Eriks Anderson of Sandusky, daughter, Indra Malloy of Lakewood, 5 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband Eriks Anderson in 1998, parents, Antons and Emma (nee Simpsons) Birgelis, and a daughter, Ingrid Anderson.
Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 from 5-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at 10:00 am with the Reverend John Mawhirter, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
