Mary Dellipoala, 75, Grew All Varieties Prize Winning Roses

Mary Dellipoala, (nee Bouri), age 75, of Lorain, died Sunday November 19, 2006 at the EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria following an extended illness. Mrs. Dellipoala was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on October 24, 1931 and had been a resident of Lorain since her childhood.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to complete studies to receive state certification as a licensed nurse. She was employed in the surgical and pediatric departments at Elyria Memorial Hospital for many years.

Mary was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain; she loved roses and was widely respected for her abilities to grow and cultivate a multitude of prize-winning varieties of that flower.

Survivors included her husband of fifty-four years Frank Dellipoala, Sr., and by sons Frank Dellipoala, Jr. of Lorain, and Joseph DePaul.

She was preceded in death by her father Vasile in 1972, by her mother Florence in 1993, and by her sister Virginia Ishky in 1999.
