Frank S. Bobel , 84, B&O Railroad Retiree
Frank S. Bobel, 84, of Lorain died Tuesday November 21, 2006 in the medical intensive care unit of Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain.He was born August 13, 1922 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Frank served with the US Army during World War II in the European Theater and South Africa.
He worked for the B&O Railroad as a car inspector for 43 years retiring in 1982.
Frank was a member Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, St. John/Holy Trinity Lodge #228 and the American Slovak Club. He was devoted to his faith, was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed working in his yard.
He is survived by his daughter Maryann Malanowski of Elyria, son Frank A. Bobel of Vermilion, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife Matilda M. Bobel (nee Gregor) in 2003 and his parents and sister.
