Grace Jeanette Sikora, 80, Enjoyed Karaoke and Bingo

Grace Jeanette Sikora (nee Dongarra), 80 of Lorain, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain

She was born April 10, 1926 in Sicily and came to America when she was 3 years old.

She was a member of St. Mary Church and its Women’s Guild, the Italian American Veterans Post #1, the American Slovak Club (life time member), the Polish American Citizens Club, and the Russo-Slav Citizens Club. She participated in Senior Achievement and the Day Away Program at the Elyria Wesleyan Village where she enjoyed D. Jing, karaoke and bingo. She was a former member of the United Polish Club and volunteered for many charities.

Survivors include 3 sons, Dennis "Buzz" Sikora of Lorain, John Sikora of Ashland, Timothy Sikora of Amherst; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Judy Cantu of Lorain, Josephine Gonzales of Lorain, and Connie Versace of Lorain.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Jack M. Sikora, 1972, parents, Vincent and Mary ( nee Gilormello) Dongarra , brother, Louis, sister, Mary Sparks.

Friends may call Friday, Nov. 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain.

Friends may also call Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of prayers at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christina Burial will be said at St. Mary Catholic Church, 8th St. and Reid Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Father Daniel O. Divis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
