Ruth Margaret Mack , 84, Long Time Amherst Resident

She was born November 4, 1922 in Lorain where she was raised. She has been a resident of Amherst for the last fifty-six years.

Ruth was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst. Her hobbies included gardening, baking, needle point, and cake decorating.

Survivors include her sons Delbert Mack of Framingham, Massachusetts and Dale Mack of Vermilion; her daughter Darlene Mack of Lorain; two grandchildren; and her sister Mary Simsko.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Joseph S. Mack, on March 13, 1982; by her parents John and Susan Chochol; by her brothers John and Andrew Chochol; and by her sister Julia Bendick.

Friends may call Sunday, November 26, 2006, from 4-7 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Terrance Adamson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
