Emma L. Gunderson , 70, Mother of Four

Born in Booneville, Ky., she worked as a bus driver for Elyria Schools. She enjoyed gardening and watching soap operas.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Gunderson of Elyria; sons Anthony Layberger of Elyria, Rory Layberger of Vermilion, Kirk Layberger of Vermilion, Scotty Layberger of Elyria; a stepdaughter, Tamara McClutch of Tennessee; brothers Raymond Woods of Sheffield and Oscar Woods of Lorain; sisters Margaret of Arizona, and Lucille of Berlin Heights; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Layberger; a son, Douglas Layberger; and her parents, Oscar Woods and Ruth Woods (nee Baker).

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, where services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday with interment to follow.
