Joseph F. Stalinski, 92, Enjoyed Carpentry, Gardening and Nature

Joseph F. Stalinski, 92 of Amherst and Lorain died Wednesday, November 22, 2006 in Community Health Partners West.

He was born March 7, 1914 in Lorain and was a life long resident.

He worked as a crane operator for U.S. Steel retiring in 1976 after 37 years. He was a member of United Polish Club and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. He was a charter member of both the Holy Name Society of Nativity Church and the Polish Fisherman's Club. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening and nature.

Survivors include his daughter, Martha Ann "Marti" Stalinski of Lorain, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Helen (nee Bashinski) in 1991, a son, Richard in 1951, parents, Frank and Aniela (nee Dombrowski) Stalinski, brother, Frank, sisters, Helen Flaczynski, Mary Zych, Josephine Kryc and a brother and sister at infancy.

Friends may call Friday, November 24, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.

Prayers will be said Saturday at 11:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain, The Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
