Rosa I. Aviles, 49, Kitchen Aide at Homewood School
Rosa I. Aviles (nee Roman), 49 of Lorain, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following a short illness.She was born January 11, 1957 in Savana Grande, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain as an infant. She graduated from Admiral King High School in 1975.
Mrs. Aviles worked for ARAMARK working as a kitchen aide at Homewood School, Lorain. She had also worked for Lithonia Lighting in Vermilion for 26 years.
She attended Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She loved to be outdoors, walking and exercising. She also enjoyed dancing.
Among the survivors are her husband of 30 years Pablo A. Kookie Aviles of Lorain; her mother Rita Roman (nee Lopez); brothers Felix, Edwin, Tony Roman all of Lorain, Jorge and Tomas Lopez, both of Lorain and Edwin Kino Lopez of California; sisters Rose Marie Roman of Winterhaven, Florida and Mary Jane White of Columbus, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday, November 27, 2006, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio.Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 8:45 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Father James Ols, Pastor of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Elyria Township will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
