Andrew Toth, 91, Self Employed General Contractor

Andrew A. Toth, 91, of Lorain, died Wednesday November 29, 2006 in the CVICU at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a brief illness.

He was born April 4, 1915 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of his life.

Andrew was a graduate of Lorain High School. He was a self-employed general contractor in the Lorain area most of his career. Later he worked as an architect’s representative on the expansion of the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain.

He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and St. John/Holy Trinity Lodge #228. As a younger man he played the violin in the Lorain Symphony Orchestra. He enjoyed computers.

He is survived by his son Paul A. Toth and his wife Diane of Strongsville, daughter-in-law Anne Miller of Vermilion, sisters Agnes Ralich of Lorain, Ann Yacobozzi and her husband Vincent of Amherst and Helen Vasiloff and her husband Carl of Amherst, 5 grandchildren: Adam Toth of Atlanta, Georgia, Michelle Weber of Reynoldsburg, Melissa Maxwell of Bremen, Jennifer Toth of Columbus and Jillian Gettler of Greensboro, North Carolina, 8 great grandchildren and his companion of 10 years Mary Mason of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his wife Sultana Toth (nee Faroh) in 1992, son James Toth in 1996, parents Andrew & Mary Toth (nee Demko), sister Mary Hreha and brothers John Toth and Michael Toth.
