Deloria Von Fuhrman, 47, Resturant Chef
Deloria Von Fuhrman (nee: Hill), 47 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away December 4, 2006 at the Hospital for Orthopedic and Specialty Services in Amherst following a lengthy illness.She was born May 17, 1959 in Lorain. She was raised in Amherst and graduated from Marion L. Steele High School with the class of 1977. Amherst was her home for the majority of her life except for a short time that she lived Colorado.
She was employed at several major food chains as a chef and most recently at Denny’s restaurant in Amherst. Deloria was a member of the Freedom Nation Motor Cycle Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cycling, singing and karaoke, camping, fishing, and flower gardening. Deloria was cared for by the Western Reserve Hospice and by her family Chris, George, and Clarissa.
Survivors include her daughter Clarissa Nicole Fuhrman of Amherst; her stepson James Cambell of Kentucky; her brother James Hill of Amherst; her sisters Belinda Walker and Rhonda Buffa, both of Amherst and Devon Clark of Atlanta, Georgia; four nieces and three nephews; and her boyfriend Chris Hembree.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Hector and Phyllis Dean Hill (nee: Reynolds).
Friends may call Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave. Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Jay Roller, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
