Doris R. Quick, 87, Enjoyed Knitting & Crocheting
Doris R. Quick, 87 (nee Walters) of Lorain died Tuesday afternoon, December 19, 2006, at the Amherst Manor Retirement Community following a long illness.Mrs. Quick was born in Abilene, KS on March 4, 1919. She moved to Lorain in 1995. She was the Valedictorian of her graduating class in the Euclid Center High School. She was a member of the Mentor Plains Methodist Church. While living in Lorain, she attended Christ United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker that loved cats, enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed painting various landscapes.
Mrs. Quick is survived by daughters Lynne Rowland of Lorain, Karen McFadden of Lakewood, son Dennis Quick of Mentor, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and a sister Mildred Cradis of North Port, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph V. Quick in 1988, and her parents Christopher C. and Marie (nee Bemiginus) Walters.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 21, 2006, from 5 - 7 P.M. at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral Services will be Friday, December 22, 2006, in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, Lorain, OH, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Matthew Darrin, pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be Friday, December 22, 2006, at 1:30 PM in Mentor Municipal Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor, Ohio.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
