Gabriella Y. Tirpak, 79, St. Vincent de Paul Altar & Rosary Society Officer & Membe

Gabriella Y. Tirpak, (nee Toth), age 79, of Elyria Township, died Tuesday December 19, 2006 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following a brief illness.

Mrs. Tirpak was born in Lorain on December 23 1926 and had been a life-long resident of Lorain County.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School; following high school, Gabriella completed beauty school and received her state license as a cosmetologist.

She was an active parishioner of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township where she was a member and past officer of the Altar & Rosary Society. She also volunteered her time and talent as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary which provided fellowship luncheons following numerous church functions.

In her free time, Mrs. Tirpak enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by four sons � Dr. Richard S. Tirpak of Canton, Ronald J. Tirpak of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dr. Robin E. Tirpak of Morrisville, North Carolina, and Stephen F. Tirpak of North Ridgeville, six grandchildren, one great grandson, and a sister Helen Kosakowski of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband Steve F. Tirpak in 1997, by her parents Steven and Sophie (nee Mihalka) Toth, and by a brother Alex Toth.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 � 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 � 9:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel � 3224 Broadway Avenue � Lorain where officers and members of the Saint Vincent de Paul Altar & Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 3:30 p.m. Friends may also call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of closing prayers at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church � 41295 North Ridge Road � Elyria Township with the Reverend James Ols, pastor of the parish officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery � Lorain.
