Margaret G. Urban, 102, Enjoyed Traveling
Margaret G. Urban, (nee Horvath) age 102, of Lorain, died Friday December 22, 2006 at Autumn Aegis Care Center following an extended illness.Mrs. Urban was born on November 14, 1904 in Hungary, and had been a resident of Lorain since her childhood.
She was employed for almost thirty years as an assembler at the Stanadyne Corporation of Elyria as well as at its successor company Moen International. Margaret retired in 1970.
She was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain and was a former parishioner of Saint Ladislaus Catholic Church also of Lorain. While a member of Saint Ladislaus she was an active member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Society as well as Saint Annâ�s Auxiliary.
Mrs. Urban enjoyed travel which took her to a multitude of destinations including Hawaii. She also enjoyed cross country trips via automobile.
Survivors include her daughter Helene Breudigam of Lorain, son Edward A. Urban of Elyria, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony S. Urban in 1953, by her parents Peter and Julia (nee Csonka) Horvath, and by brothers Frank Howard, Peter Howard, and James Howard.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Lorain.
